Using Stone ground Organic flour, sourced in the South West whenever possible, we use a slow fermentation process to ensure that our bread has the best taste and texture.

Real Bread for Beginners
This course is designed to introduce beginners to home bread making. It is a one day class which will provide the student with the skills necessary to produce tasty and attractive real bread, whilst dispelling all of the myths surrounding traditional bread making. Kneading, proving, shaping and baking will soon become second nature to you. We will discuss how bread works and how to produce a great loaf time after time.
Students will produce three standard doughs and produce bread products from each, going home with a box of bread and we hope, lots of confidence.
This one day class will give you the confidence to produce three delicious doughs to produce various breads in the comfort of your own kitchen.Super Sourdough
Our best seller when we go out to the Farmers Markets and Food festival is the Sourdough loaf. made with flour, starter, water and sea salt, the Sourdough is rapidly rising in popularity.
By using our own tried and tested progress of producing a good Sourdough, we will take you through the stages of this great tasting bread, create your loaf using a starter instead of commercial yeast and experience the transformation into a loaf of character.
Learning how to produce and care for your starter, Roger will teach you his special three stage method and will welcome your questions about getting the best Sourdough for you.
Not only will you leave at the end of the day with a new found confidence, delicious loaves, which you have created, you will also go home with a container of the Red Dog Starter!Continental Bread
Our Continental Bread class is for those bakers who have mastered the skills of basic bread making and now wish to try a new challenge!
Roger will take you through the process of biga and poolish's, overnight fermentations that create both added taste and texture to your loaves.
A simple but effective method that can work as well in your own kitchen, as it does in those wonderful bakeries we enjoy visiting while abroad.
You too can make delicious Focaccia, Ciabatta, Fougasse and a daily bread Pain de Campaign all great additions to your home baking!Real Bread at Home
For those keen bakers, what could be more satisfying than learning to bake a loaf of Real Bread in your own kitchen using just four ingredients, flour salt water and yeast.
Roger from Red Dog Bakery will teach you the skills to create your own delicious bread.
We offer individual or group tuition for those wishing to set up their own bread baking circle. Spectators are also welcome!
Classes available are Real Bread for beginners, Continental and Sourdough.
